Ex Super League Player & Samoan International Representative

Making my Super League debut at 33 years old was a remarkable milestone that served as a powerful reminder of the importance of perseverance and resilience. My 19-year journey was filled with ups and downs, including two missed NRL opportunities with the Melbourne Storm and South Sydney Rabbitohs. Those setbacks taught me vital lessons about dedication and hard work, shaping my character along the way. Finally achieving my dream of debuting in the English Super League not only made me one of the oldest players to do so but also showed me that with unwavering determination, good systems and self-belief, you can turn your dreams into reality, no matter how long it takes.

From those missed chances, I learned invaluable lessons, which I share today in the hope of helping others reach their goals. Additionally, being able to talk about the mental health challenges I’ve encountered throughout my journey allows me to connect with those who may be struggling with similar issues. I believe that by opening up about these experiences, I can encourage others to be honest about the problems they face as well.

Despite the setbacks, I never lost sight of my passion for the game. My debut in the Super League was not just a personal victory; it was a culmination of years of growth and the belief that it’s never too late to chase your dreams. This experience has taught me that with tenacity and determination, even the most elusive goals can become a reality.
